Tips for Proper Candle Burning

  • Trim the wick before burning: Keep the wick at approximately 5mm. A short wick helps with even burning, reduces smoke production, and prevents a flame that could be dangerous.
  • Allow a wax pool to form: During the first use, let the candle burn for 2-3 hours or until the entire surface has melted evenly. This prevents "tunneling" in the candle.
  • Do not let it burn for more than 4 consecutive hours
Excessive burning can cause the glass or candle container to overheat.
  • Extinguish the flame correctly
Use a specialized tool (candle snuffer) or blow gently to avoid hot wax splattering.

Candle Safety Tips

  • Placement on a safe surface: Place the candle on a stable, non-flammable surface, away from curtains, paper, or other flammable materials.
  • Do not leave unattended: Never leave a burning candle alone, especially if there are children or pets in the room.
  • Keep the container clean: Remove wick trimmings, debris, or burnt wax from the container before the next use.
  • Distance from other flames: Keep at least 10cm distance between candles to avoid overheating.
  • Extinguish the candle if it smokes or the flame becomes too large: This may indicate that the wick is too long or that the candle is in a location where it is overheating.

Special Candle Tips

  • Ventilation: Although vegetable wax burns cleaner than paraffin, it is good to ventilate the room to avoid smoke buildup.
  • Use in a container: Vegetable wax candles, especially soy, are softer and tend to burn better in a container.
  • Storage: Store the candle in a cool, dark place to maintain its fragrance and quality.
